My office is issuing personalized plaques and certificates to acknowledge and thank front-line workers for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Front-line workers are always there to make sure we continue to receive services, put food on the table, have access to medical care and so much more. QUALIFICATIONS
When the COVID-19 pandemic reached Canada in 2020, our front-line workers stepped up to serve our communities and ensure and safeguard Canadians safety and health and had what was needed for daily living. A year has passed since then, and I would like to recognize the efforts of these Canadian heroes.
Businesses, not-for-profits, community organizations and unions in Nepean are invited to submit the names of individuals whose outstanding service to the community during the pandemic should be recognized. Those nominated must reside in the riding of Nepean or work for a business, nonprofit or community organization, or union in the riding of Nepean.
Nominees can be
Organizations can nominate as many workers as they wish, and a certificate for each nominee will be delivered to the nominating organization.
In addition, organizations with fewer than 20 full-time staff can nominate 5 workers (organizations with more than 20 full-time staff can nominate 10 workers) who have been serving in an exceptional way since the pandemic began last March to receive a special plaque (personalized with the worker’s name) along with the certificate.
Due to ongoing restrictions, there will be no in-person presentation ceremony – both plaques and certificates will be delivered to the nominating organization (who in turn will give them to their employees).
