Great morning dropping by the Ethno-cultural seniors of Ottawa Walk-a-thon talking to seniors in the Ottawa community about how our government is helping seniors by:
-restoring the age of eligibility for OAS and and GIS back to age 65.
- increasing the Old Age Security and the Guaranteed Income Supplement—that is up to $2,000 more dollars in the pockets of seniors
-investing $50 million to support Canada’s first National Dementia Strategy
-enhanced the CPP
-making improvements to EI caregiver benefits to make it easier for Canadians to take a leave from work in order to care for a family member in need
-committing $6 billion in funding to provinces for better home care
