Very exciting to be at the official launch of Invest Ottawa's CAV Testing Ground for the safe deployment of autonomous vehicles.
Located in Nepean, the site is the first of its kind in North America, and will serve as a leader in autonomous vehicle technology including CAV operations in inclement weather; safety and security; interoperability, data collection and analytics; and connectivity.
It was an honour to join my provincial and municipal colleagues at the announcement: Jim Watson, Councillor Jan Harder, Merrilee Fullerton, Jeremy Roberts, Lisa MacLeod, various industry panelists, and board members of Invest Ottawa, among many others.
As the MP for Nepean, and after serving on the board of Invest Ottawa, it's been exciting to watch this dream become a reality! I look forward to hearing what exciting new developments come out of the test site.
