Saturday July 7, was a day well spent catching up with constituents at various events throughout Ottawa. It was such a pleasure to meet everyone involved in so many wonderful causes and learn more about the important work they do!
(Top left): Today, I was happy to join Vietnamese-Canadians from Ottawa, Montreal and the GTA at Parliament Hill against oppressive cyber security laws and human rights violations in Vietnam. Thank you to Senator Thanh Hai Ngo for his many years of leadership in promoting freedom and Canadian values among all.
(Top right): Saturday, I attended the Venezuela Crisis Group fundraiser in support of the Canada Venezuela Democracy Forum (CVDF) and learned more about the CVDF thanks to Finance Director, Irais León-Côté.
(Bottom left): I met with many Lao-Canadians at the Lao Association of Ottawa Valley annual picnic at Vincent Massey Park, this weekend. Thank you for your warm welcome, delicious foods and for telling me about the goals of the association as well as the challenges Lao-Canadians face.
(Bottom right): Saturday afternoon, I was glad I got to drop by the Community BBQ and Family fun day organized by the Coalition des Parents Francophone Djibouto Somaliens de l'Ontario CPFDO and got the opportunity to meet with Vice-President, Omar, and organizer Moosa.
